We are excited to offer the option for telemedicine appointments in order to obtain eye care and connect with your doctor from the comfort and safety of your own home! These exams are also covered by your insurance.
Telemedicine appointments usually last about 15 minutes and are easy to do with your smart phone, tablet, or computer. You simply connect with your doctor just like a FaceTime call. During your exam, you will be greeted by a front desk representative to verify your information and then a technician will update your health information, prescription medications, and gather other information, as necessary, for your meeting with the doctor. Your doctor will then discuss your eye health and make recommendations for a course of treatment. Please keep in mind, some Telehealth visits may require in-office follow-up appointments.
Don’t have a telemed appointment? No problem! Please call our office at 717-767-2000 and our staff will be happy to assist you.
At the time of your scheduled appointment:
Simply click on your doctor’s photo below to access the link to their virtual waiting room. Enter your name and click “check in” and one of our staff will be right with you. If you wish for a family member to join your call, they may also follow these same steps. If you enter the waiting room at a time you were not scheduled, your doctor may not be available to speak with you. Please keep in mind, appointments are required and can be obtained by calling the office to schedule at 717-767-2000.
Did you know? Often patients exposed to COVID-19 will experience symptoms in the eyes first. By scheduling a Telehealth appointment with one of our doctors first, they can also check for other warning signs of the Coronavirus. Because local emergency facilities are overwhelmed at this time, it is always beneficial to call us first with any eye emergencies. We hope you and your loved ones are safe and well. Even during these difficult times, Eyes of York is always here for your future in sight!
